Hahaha... since my busy days (first month of moving) died off... I thought I come back here to write another journal entry.
Hong Kong, is WAY more busy then Vancouver... There is never a time inside a mall (given the mall is open [even if it was close, I heard there still people working inside polishing the floors and clean the ceiling windows]) that there is no one inside. There is never a time on a street where there is no cars.
Well... Hong Kong does have one of the most people per acre in the world, more than Taiwan, more than Japan, more than US, more than China. (apparently, HK is consider as a country by itself) I was joking with my friend the other day about if we ever have an earthquake, and everyone runs out onto the street, there is probably not enough room for everyone to stand... lol
The culture in HK is extremely different. Even the buildings have a Hong Kong feel to it. Everything looks extremely different. I am not just talking about the famous night view of Victoria Harbor... Even daytime. The street are amazing, I just can't tell you how nice it is.
The air sucks... I have to say... air pollution is horrible... lol. Its extremely hot... extremely humid... I get all sweaty by just going to a nearby convenience store and back.
Public transportation is quite big here. You can reach everywhere through the subway (they call it MTR here). The pricing on it isn't all that bad, but its extremely convenient. I am not only talking about being about to get anywhere with it, or even being able to walk from one station to another since there r so many station and lines while Hong Kong is so small (I mean... You can probably walk to a place normally would take you 6 stops by MTR... if you know which direction and which way to walk). But not only that, you use a magnetic card (they call it Octopus card here, sounds better in Cantonese) where you just place on the receiver and it let you in the gate, and it deduct money from there. The nice part about that card is that all public transportation uses it, even convenience stores and markets, or pop machines and a lot of other shops. Its like a credit card by itself, except you have to put money into the card before use. For those who know what Suika in Japan is... Its a similar system, except Suika can only be used in JR lines (given they didn't change it the last time I went to Japan).
I just need to really spend time to fix up my comp so I can actually draw something... lots of ideas... lots of competitions to join... just no computer that can support photoshop (some says all of them can... but this one... when I draw... everything lags).
Anyways... enough for now... I been keeping dA updated... just no time to add a journal entry ^^
